Fiber Recoaters with Proof Testers offer easy, integrated methods to recoat and test fusion-spliced fibers. We provide you with both high-index (Item # AB950200) and low-index (Item # PC373) recoat materials to use in these recoaters. Recoaters with manual injection pumps (Item #s PTR206B and PTR307B) are compatible with both types of recoat material; all the other recoaters are suitable for the high-index material only. Our manual recoaters having an automatic injection system (Item #s PTR206 and PTR307) may be customized to do business with the low- and-index recoat material; please contact Tech Support for additional information.
Proof Tester Options – The PTR206, PTR206B, and PTR208 Fiber Recoaters include a built-in linear proof tester, that can take the fiber up to and including predetermined load (20 N) and then releases it. The linear proof tester uses uojthk same fiber holding blocks as the recoater and so the fiber fails to need to be moved prior to testing. The PTR307 and PTR307B Fiber Recoaters have a built-in rotary proof tester, which may perform both proof and tension tests (?89 N). One set of proof test grips is included; replacement proof test grips can be purchased below in packs of 10.
